Taking 3 different shots all with the exact same camera positioning can be difficult. Added to that, the lighting on the day I shot this piece was terrible. But hey, where's the fun without the challenge right? This is a photo manipulation that plays with background, foreground, and perspective.
The trick was taking the original photo as seen here, and making it so that you can see the background through the foreground. Essentially it requires taking a photo twice, with the camera in the exact same spot, but changing the subjects position. In this instance, my subject is the girl holding the phone.

As mentioned previously. This trick requires moving the subject in the second image. In this image you can see the girl has moved behind the tree. In the image above however, she's in front of the tree. These are two different shots, however; my camera held the exact same position for each picture.
I took this trick a step further and decided to ad a third image. This time, my original subject (the girl) is even further away from the camera. Once again, the camera remained in the exact same spot. This makes it easy for me when cutting and blending all three of the photos into one final image. In a perfect world, the only thing that should change between all three photos is the girl. All the leaves on the ground floating in and out of shots made that impossible. That's where photoshop really proved useful in post.

After it was all said and done; here is the final product. Looking through the phone you can see straight through the foreground of the image. Now the background is the subject and flows synonymously with the foreground. It's kind of like looking through a portal. A weird, "3 images in one" portal...Yea.
