This is the start of a project done for Advantage Publishing, a publishing company based in Gainesville Florida. They were in need of a custom web cover for their Facebook page. I gathered about 35 of their previously published magazines, scanned them, and organized them into a digital collage.
Once I was provided with their company logo I placed it on top of the collage. I also added some lighting effects in an attempt to add feelings of "glamour" and "pristine". Wooow... The issue remained; however, that the logo was hard to see with such a busy background.
The final step was adding a gradient between the logo and the collage. This made the logo much more visible and adds to the overall aesthetic of the piece. The background is still visible, but it's no longer a distraction. It now serves as more of a visual bonus.
